The RCM Business Analyst will conduct detailed analytical studies to define problems, identify deficiencies and improve solutions which impact the enterprise’s effectiveness, and provide the basis for issue resolution. They collaborate with users to define business requirements for system enhancements and new functionalities to achieve process improvements and revenue savings through automation and Robotic Process Automation (RPA). They will gather data through many sources, to looking for trends and identifying opportunities to improve performance. They will create efficiencies in processes and reporting using tools such as Power BI, as well as further develop our data collection and analysis practices while acting as a liaison between information technology and business leaders.

 

At this time, US Anesthesia Partners does not hire candidates residing in California, Hawaii, or Alaska.

 

The base pay estimate for this role is $66,900 - $113,700 annually. The final offer will depend on the skills, experience, and qualifications of the selected candidate. This range is for base pay only and does not include bonuses or other compensation. This position is eligible for an annual bonus. Bonuses are not guaranteed and are awarded based on company and individual performance.

Job Highlights

  • Supports research initiatives with the ability to pull/request reporting, decipher data, root cause analysis, and provide recommendations for improvement opportunities as it relates to RCM processes and overall financial performance.
  • Ability to identify and report trends, issues, concerns in current processes with providing support, feedback, and/or next steps to improve overall RCM processes and financial performance.
  • Completes investigative research for issues, concerns, areas of improvement etc. as identified or instructed by leadership.
  • Monitors, tracks, and analyzes inventory volume as well as financial data and reports related to revenue cycle, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions as needed.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of insurance carriers, payers, and processes utilized within Revenue Cycle.
  • Collaborates with AR leadership and other RCM Departments to optimize revenue cycle and improve the overall financial performance.
  • Responsible for developing departmental policies and procedures, providing guidance, support, and leadership to ensure AR team success.
  • Performs quality assurance audits on accounts to verify accuracy of actions taken by AR team members as needed.
  • Evaluates current workflows and identify inefficiencies.
  • Develops and implements process improvement strategies.
  • Standardizes documentation and operating procedures.
  • Assists with system upgrades, implementations, and testing.
  • Documents system requirements and workflow enhancements.
  • Supports automation initiatives.
  • Monitors impact of charges and measures outcomes.
  • Maintains OSHA and HIPAA compliance.
  • Maintains strictest confidentiality.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES (KSAs):

  • Bachelor’s degree required (extensive experience in healthcare revenue cycle management and/or process improvement may be substituted).
  • Business analysis experience preferred.
  • Lead/communicate/interact with professionalism and respect.

  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of Power BI, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to identify issues and complete root cause analysis.
  • Ability to brainstorm solutions and implement opportunities for efficiency.
  • Ability to take the lead on issues, projects, etc.
  • Ability to motivate diverse personalities within the department.
  • Flexibility and ability to access resources and accurately work inventory with assigning and/or reassigning tasks as appropriate.
  • Assessing inventory and workflows to make recommendations for efficiency and effectiveness.
