The Sr. Project Manager - EPMO manages multiple, complex projects that support organizational stakeholders such as Revenue Cycle, Clinical Operations, Finance, HR, IT, and other business units, using standard project management methodologies and processes. The Sr. Project Manager - EPMO is responsible for delivering projects on time, wihtin scope, and within budget while proactively managing risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations. 

 

The base pay estimate for this role is $107,700 - $183,100 annually. The final offer will depend on the skills, experience, and qualifications of the selected candidate. This range is for base pay only and does not include bonuses or other compensation. This position is eligible for an annual bonus. Bonuses are not guaranteed and are awarded based on individual and company performance. 

 

Job Highlights

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation)

 

  • In conjunction with business stakeholders and solution managers, captures requirements, defines project scope, and obtains scope approval.
  • Creates and maintains detailed project plans, schedules, resource plans, and project cost estimates.
  • Supports business case development and project intake activities.
  • Ensures assigned projects align with organizational goals and strategic priorities.
  • Resolves ambiguities in requirements and drives consensus across project teams.
  • Coordinates project efforts to achieve agreed timelines, scope, and budgets.
  • Works closely with technical teams to align resources with business needs.
  • Ensures PMO standards, tools, and best practices are followed.
  • Produces accurate and complete project documentation, including but not limited to:
    • Requirements and scope documentation
    • Statements of work
    • Project schedules and staffing plans
    • Status reports and dashboards
    • Issue, risk, and change logs
    • Test plans and test results
    • Project budgets and forecasts
  • Consults with management to assess project proposals, timelines, funding constraints, and staffing requirements.
  • Develops project plans defining goals, delivery strategy, risks, contingency plans, and resource allocation.
  • Directs and coordinates day-to-day activities of project team members and vendors.
  • Prepares and presents regular project status reports to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Manages change requests and executes formal change control processes.
  • Monitors project performance against scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
  • Ensures quality assurance and testing activities are planned and executed.
  • Coordinates design, review, and validation sessions with business and technical teams.
  • Manages multiple concurrent projects of moderate to high complexity.
  • Provides coaching and informal mentorship to Project Managers when applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES (KSAs):

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Information systems, business, or related field preferred.
  • 5-7 years of project management experience, including delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience supporting IT or business application projects required.
  • Experience with Healthcare IT strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing projects within the Smartsheet work management platform strongly preferred.
  • PMP or CAPM certification a plus but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and delivery practices.
  • Solid understanding of IT systems, applications, and solution delivery lifecycles.
  • Strong written, verbal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks proactively.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative, customer-focused approach with a result orientation.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
