The Operations Manager will provide scheduling and operational support for clinical staff including anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists.  This person works closely with the senior operations team to carry out key operational needs and aid in the development of strategic initiatives. The Operations Manager will provide leadership and vision to the team with a focus on support and engagement to further the Company.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between USAP anesthesia teams and hospital leadership to ensure alignment on strategic and operational goals.
  • Foster strong, collaborative relationships with hospital executives, perioperative leadership, and nursing directors to support safe, efficient, and high-quality anesthesia care.
  • Act as a central point of contact to facilitate communication, problem-solving, and issue resolution across departments.
  • Participate in hospital leadership meetings, OR steering committees, and performance improvement initiatives as a representative of USAP.
  • Support the OR directors and nursing leadership by coordinating daily operations and proactively identifying opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Ensure transparency, accountability, and timely follow-up on joint performance metrics and quality initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with USAP physician leadership to communicate hospital expectations, operational updates, and partnership goals.
  • Monitor perioperative throughput, scheduling efficiency, and resource utilization to drive anesthesia service excellence.
  • Lead or support implementation of new processes, programs, or changes in service delivery in partnership with hospital stakeholders.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of hospital priorities, pain points, and upcoming initiatives to align anesthesia operations accordingly.
  • Responsible for overseeing the staffing and scheduling of day-to-day operations of clinicians to ensure full coverage.
  • Manages team of Operations and Scheduling Coordinators who are responsible for maintenance of CRNA and MD schedules.
  • Ensures success of the team by providing necessary guidance and resources.
  • Develops staff through coaching, mentoring, and incentivizing.
  • Provides support to the senior operation team through delegation of tasks.
  • Initiates frequent communication to the senior operations team regarding scheduling statuses.
  • Generates and analyze reports to improve process, best business practices, efficiency gains to ensure profitability.
  • Facilitate and participate in CRNA and MD oriented meetings and with other departments as needed.
  • Acts as a dedicated problem solver by offering solutions to sustain current business and develop opportunities for future business.
  • Serves as liaison between corporate office and clinical staff through communication and customer service.
  • Ad hoc projects on an as needed basis.

Qualifications

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSAs):

  • Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent 3-5 years’ experience.
  • 1-3 years of hospital-based healthcare experience.
  • Experience with managing clinical scheduling.
  • 1 year of people management experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Skill in gathering and reporting information.
  • Multi-tasking skills with ability to manage a variety of projects.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work effectively and independently with staff, physicians and external customers.
