The Vice President of Operations - Anesthesia Education is responsible for executive management of US Anesthesia Partners (USAP) businesses and internal programs associated with academic programs in anesthesia. New Graduate anesthesia clinicians are the foundation of the USAP talent strategy, and this role will ensure that the USAP academic approach maximizes opportunities for talent acquisition and business success. Academic partnerships and the business operations associated with those partnerships are a rapidly emerging opportunity for USAP revenue growth. This role will be vital in converting these opportunities to robust P&L operations. 

Preferable location is Dallas, TX, but this role can also be located at our locations in Denver, Nashville, Orlando, Houston, or Austin.

This role will report directly to the Sr. Vice President of Clinical Talent Acquisition, and will:

• Provide leadership and P&L management for all academic partnerships, joint ventures, and subsidiary organizations, primarily around anesthesia training programs' founding and joint management. Provide oversight and direction for the strategic planning and execution necessary to meet recruitment and business goals and objectives throughout these relationships. 
• Liaison and executive resource to the Business Development and growth teams tasked with identifying, evaluating, and integrating new academic opportunities.
• Lead the enterprise oversight of USAP clinical training program management, ensuring these programs meet the clinical, recruiting, and business objectives set forth by the USAP practices and the USAP enterprise. This includes leading the national SRNA/SAA affiliation strategies, monitoring local rotation effectiveness, alignment of multiple regional practices sharing program affiliations, and leading the enterprise collection and reporting of trainee data for ROI and other KPIs.
• Advise and assist USAP practices on operations and strategies to maximize and ensure their local academic training approach is aligned with practice talent acquisition & financial goals and KPIs.
• Executive liaison to individuals to Anesthesia clinical training programs and the academic arms of ASA, AANA, and AAAA.
• Lead the planning and operations of academic conferences, program visits, and seminars. This includes the USAP Future Leaders in Anesthesia conference, the premier annual conference of anesthesia student clinicians.
• Co-Lead the clinical academic prospect program (CAPP), which tracks all anesthesia clinicians in training within regional proximity to USAP practices (@7000 trainees), managing the multi-year communication program to build awareness of USAP to attract them to USAP employment upon graduation.
• Develop and maintain understanding of financial Reporting and operation of academic programs and operations, including presentations and communications with leadership in USAP CTA, CCO, and ELT as needed.
• Establish and maintain robust relationships with the business and clinical leadership of clinical academic programs. Leverage these relationships to maximize the development of recruitment and business opportunities.
• Key participant in developing responses to RFP’s and presenting proposals both for academic programs and for other service offerings available through CTA and IWS
• Leads development, communication, and implementation of academic growth strategies and processes.
• Represents the organization with customers, shareholders, and business partners.

YOU WILL HAVE:

• Experience as either a direct patient provider (RN, APP, PA, CRNA, etc.) and/or a minimum of 7 years of healthcare operations leadership experience in a hospital / large medical group, or Clinical talent Acquisition executive leadership with a strong emphasis on academic recruitment. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
• Preferably Master’s Degree in business, healthcare administration or other relevant field
• Minimum 7 years of healthcare operations leadership experience in a hospital / large medical group operations, or Clinical talent Acquisition executive leadership with a strong emphasis on academic recruitment. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in financial and operations management, budgeting and resource planning with progression of increasing responsibilities.
• Minimum 4 years' experience managing an operations staff. 
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, billing, collections, banking/ finance, and/or process management.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary to work cooperatively with physicians, all staff members, and external customers. Must have a pleasant disposition and a high tolerance level for diverse personalities. 
• Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills.
• Understanding of healthcare trends and their relationship to Crestone.
• Strong personal computer skills, including mastery of Microsoft Office products and database programs.
• Ability to oversee multiple projects, accustomed to tight deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable with presentations to senior management, boards, community groups, physicians, and staff.
• Self-motivated; ability to work without direct supervision.
