Job Highlights

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities:

 

  • Designs, develops, and maintains advanced Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Crafts and optimizes Power BI data models and DAX queries. 
  • Manages administration of the Power BI service, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Deploys and configures BI dashboards and reports, managing the lifecycle from development to production environments.
  • Oversees user access and security, implementing data governance and compliance standards across all BI tools.
  • Monitors system health, perform upgrades and patches, and troubleshoots any issues related to the Power BI environment.
  • Collaborates with IT and data teams to enhance the underlying BI infrastructure to support scaling and integration with other data sources.
  • Provides training and support to business users on using Power BI tools effectively, ensuring widespread adoption and data-driven decision making.
  • Mentors team members in best practices of Power BI solutions. 
  • Maintains documentation for BI processes and analytics. 

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES (KSAs):

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Significant experience (7+ years) as a Power BI Developer or Power BI Administrator.
  • Strong understanding of Power BI service architecture and offerings.
  • Expertise in setting up and managing access controls and security policies in a BI context (including role-based access).
  • Strong knowledge with SQL databases and cloud environments (Azure preferred).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric is a plus.
