Welcome to US Anesthesia Partners, a national anesthesia-focused physician services organization sponsored by private equity firms WCAS, Berkshire Partners, and GIC. We currently have a wonderful opportunity for a Business Development M&A Financial Analyst to join our dynamic corporate team. This person will play a key role in supporting potential hospital partnerships and practice transactions by developing and presenting financial models, collecting and compiling data, and working with external partners to refine assumptions and scenario models. If you're passionate about healthcare and have a sharp financial acumen, we want you on our team. This is a remote position but strong preference for candidates to reside in Dallas or Houston, Texas. At this time, US Anesthesia Partners does not hire candidates residing in New York, California, Hawaii, or Alaska.

Job Highlights

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develops and reviews detailed financial analysis and complex valuation models with respect to both financial statements as well as operating metrics generated from practice billing data financial statements, and other business reports.
  • Provides input to the company's business development growth strategy along with team members.
  • Evaluates geographical markets and the relative position and competitive dynamics of practices, health systems, and payers within those markets.
  • Develops relationships with potential transaction partners.
  • Executes transactions, including development of structured processes and detailed timelines that can be reported to various stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with the EVPs of Growth and Business Development to oversee due diligence process, including managing internal and external resources and identification of key business and legal issues.
  • Develops and drafts summary materials for presentation to various constituencies, include the board of directors, executive leadership team, and potential transaction partners.
  • Coordinates with internal finance, human resources, risk and compliance, and operations teams as part of transaction execution and post transaction integration process.

Qualifications

MUST HAVE: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; major in business, finance, or economics preferred.
  • 1 - 3 years relevant professional experience (comparable industries include investment banking, strategy consulting, business/corporate development, private equity).
  • Experience in the healthcare sector is preferred, particularly with physician services organizations.
  • Experience with respect to mergers and acquisitions transactions, financial/quantitative analysis and complex financial modeling, due diligence and legal documentation.
  • Experience interacting with outside advisers, including investment bankers, strategy consultants, accountants, lawyers, and tax advisers.
  • Highest level of professionalism, ethics, integrity, mutual respect, and collaborative approach.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills; keen attention to detail.
  • Strong organization, project management and prioritization skills.
  • Sound business judgment with an ability to synthesize, analyze and extract implications.
  • Desire and experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to perform under tight deadlines.
