Provides staff supervision and support to Team Leads and associates. Compiles and produces daily, weekly and monthly reports to management as requested. All new hires must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Job Highlights

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to):

  1. Compiles and types reports, creates and works spreadsheets in order to assist Manager with research and analysis of trends.
  2. Regularly track and monitor productivity and accuracy of staff members. Work with Team Leads to ensure ongoing follow up and communication with each employee occurs in order to keep them aware of the standards of performance expectations (Audit Process). Maintain reports with daily, weekly, monthly and YTD data. Incorporate data into annual performance review process and quarterly bonus calculations.
  3. Monitor queues in the practice management system, work in conjunction with Team Leads to provide ongoing staff supervision and training.
  4. In conjunction with Manager and Team Leads, provide training and on-going education for all staff members as well as assist with annual reviews.
  5. Work with Manager on recruiting issues and interviews of prospective employees.
  6. Encourages employees to improve their skills and to expand their expertise.
  7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently with high level of accuracy
  8. Identifies and helps develop strategies to resolve problems impacting an efficient revenue cycle.
  9. Enforces company policies as well as rules and guidelines of the department.
  10. Monitor staff attendance, provide counseling as appropriate.
  11. Resolve personnel issues in conjunction with Team Leads, Manager and Human Resources.
  12. Responds to patient, physician and interdepartmental concerns in a timely manner, on the same day whenever possible.
  13. Acts as an effective liaison with management and line staff in other departments as needed to address problem areas and assist with resolution.
  14. Maintain OSHA and HIPAA compliance.
  15. Delegate work/email duties as necessary to stay current with priority tasks.
  16. Maintains strictest confidentiality.
  17. Performs other duties as assigned.

  19. Ability to prioritize work.
  20. Must have strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  21. Must have a pleasant disposition and high tolerance level for diverse views and opinions.
  22. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  23. Ability to motivate diverse personalities within the departments.
  24. Communicate well with the public. 

 

REPORTING TO THIS POSITION:  Team Leads and associates in the department.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma is required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a business or health related field highly preferred 
  • Prefer a minimum of 2 years of experience in an anesthesia or clinical pain setting but related experience will be considered 
  • A minimum of three to five years prior supervisory experience in medical billing and collections preferred

 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching
  • Must possess sufficient eye-hand coordination/manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment
  • Required normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports and evaluations. 
  • Requires lifting papers and boxes weighing up to 35 pounds occasionally
  • Requires dexterity to type at least 50 wpm.

  • Work performed in office environment
  • Involves frequent contact with professional staff and managed care organizations
  • Work may be stressful at times
  • Interaction with others is frequent and often disruptive
