    The Team Lead will provide support to a team of 5-10 billing specialists.  This person will act as the “go to” person for questions and issues.  This includes but is not limited to; training and mentoring of team, reviewing edit resolution for individual team members, delegating work assignments, and assist in resolving personnel issues in conjunction with the Billing Supervisor, Manager and Human Resources.  All new hires must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.



    • Monitoring & analyzing incoming tasks and edits; identify trends
    • Research and answer questions and concerns of team members
    • Communicate management goals and objectives to team
    • Apply rules and guidelines of Billing Department to staff. Act in accordance to USAP policies & procedures.
    • Assist in resolving personnel issues in conjunction with the Billing Supervisor, Manager and Human Resources
    • Facilitate effective training of new employees
    • Identify training needs of staff and coordinate learning sessions on these matters
    • Review both quality & productivity of assigned billing team
    • Participate and/or provide direction for in-service education meetings for billing team
    • Assist in interviews of prospective billing employees for team
    • Ensures that the assigned Centricity Business queues are worked efficiently & effectively by all team members
    • Act as a liaison between other depts. within the CBO
    • Maintain professionalism & strictest confidentiality at all times
    • Assist with special projects and performs other duties as assigned
    • Strong analytical and research skills
    • At least an intermediate level in MS Word and MS Excel
    • Excellent verbal and written communication
    • Ability to work effectively and independently with staff, physicians and internal customers
    • Must have a pleasant disposition and operate well under pressure
    • Willingness and ability to follow direction and/or company policy as directed by management
    • Must have multi-tasking capabilities
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality


    • High School graduate or equivalent. Associate degree in business administration or related area preferred.
    • Must have 2 or more years of medical Revenue Cycle or medical office experience
    • Anesthesia experience preferred but not required
