    Responsible for managing the Accounts Payable Department staff and all of its activities



    • Responsible for managing the Accounts Payable department staff and ensuring that policies and procedures are followed.
    • Help implement Workday Invoice and Expense
    • Become a knowledgable and trusted Admin for Workday
    • Ensure that the Company authorization guidelines are being followed, including proper authorization of invoices, check requests and checks.
    • Maintain existing Accounts Payable procedures. Responsible for streamlining, seeking more efficient procedures, staying abreast of Accounts Payable best practices and new technologies.
    • Ensure expenses are properly classified (appropriate G/L classification and accounting period).
    • Implementation and management of A/P systems and related vendors
    • Reconcile Supplier records to statements
    • Provide ad hoc reporting
    • Perform research for acounting, other departments, and special projects
    • Maintain unclaimed property reporting system
    • Ensure proper processing of customer refund checks and credentialing
    • Ensure compliance for preparing, issuing, and reporting of Form 1099
    • Ensure proper processing of vendor maintenance
    • Ensure internal controls and system security are in place and procedures are properly followed
    • Provide customer service
    • Root cause problems and solutioning
    • Training and development of staff
    • Maintain Vendor Relations
    • A major responsibilty is ensuring compliance with controls
    • Other duties as assigned


    REPORTING TO THIS POSITION:  Accounts Payable Staff



    • A Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
    • 10+ years of Accounts Payable Experience
    • Energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image.
    • A strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus.
    • Well organized and self-directed individual who is "politically savvy" and a team player.
    • A good educator who is trustworthy and willing to share information and serve as a mentor.
    • A decisive individual who possesses a "big picture" perspective and is well versed in Accounting & Finance.
    • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with stakeholders, all staff members and doctors.
    • Ability to meet deadlines.
    • Working knowledge of computers and ability to use word-processing, spreadsheet and data base programs.
    • Strong attention to accuracy and detail.
    • Exceptional organizational skills.
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally.
    • Self-motivated; ability to work without direct supervision.
    • Must have a pleasant disposition and high tolerance level for diverse personalities.
    • Communicate well with the public
    • Ability to read, write, and speak English
