    The Sr. Corporate Tax Accountant assists in the preparation of the Corporate income tax provision, federal and state income tax estimates, extensions, apportionment, Corporate tax returns, along with fixed asset management.


    Essential Functions:

    May perform any or all of the following functions:

    • Prepares Company’s book/tax differences for annual accounting income tax provision and related financial statement disclosures
    • Prepare support for deferred, NOL, credit carryforwards and tax account balances
    • Prepares tax-related journal entries and corresponding general ledger reconciliations
    • Prepares federal and state tax workpapers/calculations for corporate returns, estimates and extensions for management review
    • Monitors asset additions and retirements monthly to calculate depreciation for tax provision, federal and state tax return filings
    • Reconciliation of TAX to GAAP fixed assets quarterly at a minimum
    • Assist with Escheat projects
    • Maintain and manage a tracking mechanism for compliance functions performed in conjunction with outside service providers, including personal property tax renditions, payments of real and personal property taxes, and unclaimed property reporting
    • Works tax notices – calling taxing authorities to inquire about unclear notices, writing abatement letters as needed, coordinating payment of notices
    • Upkeep Tax Due Date Calendar in Smartsheet to ensure returns are filed in a timely manner
    • Participate in company meetings, webinars and conference calls
    • Assists in coordinates efforts of external tax advisors and external auditors
    • Ensure compliance with SOX 404 controls and respond to internal audit requests

    Other Functions:

    • Special projects and tax research
    • Performs other duties as assigned in response to changing business conditions and requirements



    • Approximately three (3) to seven (7) years of any combination of experience and/or education that demonstrates a commanding knowledge in income tax and tax provisions for multi-state in corporate tax and/or public accounting environment preferred
    • BA Degree required, Masters in Tax preferred
    • CPA desired (eligible will be considered)
    • Thorough knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations
    • Proficiency in accounting for income taxes (ASC740, FIN48)
    • Time management skills with strong attention to details; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet assigned project deadlines in a timely manner
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong organizational, problem solving skills and work ethic
    • Possess ability to think independently and use professional judgement
    • Self-driven personality
    • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
    • Ability to adapt and operate under pressure in a rapidly changing business and deadline driven environment
    • Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office programs, including Word, PowerPoint and possess Advanced Excel skills
    • Experience with BNA (or similar) fixed asset software is beneficial
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Continuous interaction with internal and external partners at times by phone, electronically or in person
