    SUMMARY: The Revenue Strategy Director role was created to drive strategic projects and growth opportunities within the revenue cycle organization. This role will be responsible for driving strategic projects across the revenue cycle organization. These projects range from analytical opportunities, to researching and implementing new technology. Successful candidates should have a quantitative background, be comfortable working with big data, an excellent communicator at the executive level and act as a ‘jack of all trades’ with their skillset. This role is excellent for former consultants or those with a keen interest in healthcare.

    Responsibilities

    • Identify opportunities within the revenue cycle organization where new technology may be implemented to drive greater efficiencies and/or improve revenue yield
    • Able to lead projects and initiatives across multiple teams and departments and see them through from planning to delivery
    • Work between physicians and business teams to review processes and identify/implement opportunities for improvement
    • Own analysis on large claim datasets to drive value for the organization
    • Apply lean thinking concepts and principles and propose/analyze alternate solutions to streamline processes and enhance control.
    • Manage project execution and timelines, coordinate team members, report progress and manage expectations, risks and issues.  Track and report process improvement savings/benefits and prepare/present progress and accomplishments to senior management

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor degree a requirement, MBA or applied science background preferred
    • Proven track record driving value creation in a healthcare environment
    • Experience working with commercial healthcare payers an asset
    • Big data experience, working with large datasets
    • Project management experienced an asset but not required
    • Highly proficient in use of desktop tools and software for presentations, consolidation of data and process mapping, i.e. MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio and MS Access
    • Revenue cycle management experience an asset but not a requirement
