Process electronic claims and oversee all electronic claim rejections. Respond to payor inquiries and rejections in a timely manner to insure proper payment. Resolve claim issues for patients while projecting a professional company image through phone interaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to):

• Work all claim rejections in Task Manager/eCommerce.
• Resubmit claims to insurance carriers as needed.
• Identify, research, and resolve ongoing claim issues.
• Work closely with Payor Compliance Manager to identify, research, and resolve trends in claim rejections.
• Work closely with Insurance Specialist on claim issues/inquiries.
• Follow-up with Insurance Specialist on inquires not immediately resolved.
• Recognize, document and alert the supervisor of trends in claim processing and/or denials.
• Audit randomly selecting claims to ensure quality processing.
• Recommend process improvements.
• Remain current with payor claim submission guidelines.
• Complete work within authorized time to assure compliance with department standards.
• Handle Medicaid, Superior, Amerigroup, Sendero, Seton Medicaid, Chip and Star
• Verifications as assigned
• Other duties as assigned

• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as accept direction on given assignments.

• Ability to communicate effectively with people from all backgrounds and uphold our high standards of customer service.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:

• 3+ years of medical claims experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience reading and interpreting 3rd party contracts
