    SUMMARY:

    USAP was founded six years ago to help better serve anesthesiologists, hospitals, and patients alike. Today, USAP is breaking new ground on engaging patients and payers by utilizing new methods and technologies.

     

    The Revenue Strategy Associate role was created to drive innovation within the revenue cycle organization. This role will be responsible for mining data, researching new technology and owning critical projects that drive revenue growth. Successful candidates should have a quantitative background, be comfortable working with big data, be an excellent communicator at the management and executive level and be able to be a ‘jack of all trades’ with their skillset. This role is excellent for former consultants looking to do a pre-MBA healthcare focused role.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Technical Skills:
      • Utilize database programs to mine data sources and look for trends using SQL, excel, Power BI and other BI tools as needed.
      • Perform data analysis to identify and understand anomalies
      • Create presentations and reports for management and executive presentations
    • Analytical Skills:
      • Analyze and understand big data.
      • Ability to evaluate new technologies and vendors and provide critical insight on how to apply these to healthcare
      • Ability to work through process optimization problems. Lean, 6 sigma experience an asset
    • Communication Skills:
      • Must be able to communicate and present their findings to managers and executives.
      • Need to be able to correspond with IT regarding technical needs, while also having the ability to interpret trends and analysis for business owners in a clear and concise manner.
    • Time Management:
      • Work on multiple projects across different data sets and on multiple deadlines. Time management and expectation setting is key to success in the role.

    Qualifications

    JOB REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

    •  2+ years of experience preferred, however undergraduates or graduates with strong technical skills and healthcare experience may be considered
    • Prior work with big data required, technical ability in SQL an asset but must be willing to learn
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills required
    • Advanced PowerPoint skills required
    • Experience with reporting tools an asset
    • Self-motivated, with a sense of autonomy, initiative and responsibility
    • Team Player
    • Bachelor’s degree, bonus if in business or STEM
    • Comfortable interacting and presenting findings to senior management

    EXPERIENCE ON THE FOLLOWING PLATFORMS AN ASSET:

    • T-SQL Through Microsoft SQL Management Studio
    • Power BI
