    This position performs daily and month-end ledger close activities related to cash management and bank deposit reconciliation analysis.  All new hires must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check before starting work with USAP.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Prepares and analyzes monthly bank statements to HIS postings, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
    • Reviews suspense accounts and goal tracking.
    • Prepares daily posting totals for distribution and records cash deposits.
    • Works with cash management staff relative to billing and collections transactions in Revenue Cycle Management System and accounts for that activity in the General Ledger, as needed.
    • Works with Accounting on reconciliation and systematic efficiencies.
    • Responds to financial inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Develops and maintains Cash Management data repository, deposit spreadsheets, and multi-system balance workflow.
    • Assists Cash Management Manager by assembling and presenting any requested information necessary for the preparation of monthly statements.
    • Other duties, as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Associate degree in business or accounting is preferred.      
    • Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle payments from insurance payers is required.
    • Three years of experience in a Payment Posting or Cash Management department is preferred.
    • Performing bank deposit reconciliation against billing (HIS) systems for a minimum of one year is required.
