    The IT-Quality Product Owner will be the owner of Quality related IT projects, backlog portfolio, as well as operational tracking of Quality data readiness. The purpose of this role is to provide a high level of communication and transparency around IT quality initiatives that enable USAP to collect, store, transform, report, and utilize quality data. This role is key in understanding customer needs and translating those into finished work products based on frequent communication and feedback loops. A deep understanding of quality data, quality measures, and software development processes is key to the success of this role.

     

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to):

    • Act as the liaison between the business customer (quality) and the development organizations (application development, and the data team)
    • Learn and understand the customer’s needs; and translate those into business requirements.
    • Communicate those requirements as projects and backlog items, and track priority based on guidance from the Chief of Quality, and the IT-Quality steering committee
    • Communicate with the customer on expected delivery/deliverables and bring feedback back to the development teams
    • Gatherer and verify requirements, getting feedback, conducting UAT
    • Ensure that requests are captured and prioritized, progress is clearly communicated, and that deliverables accurately pertain to user requirements.
    • Assists with architectural planning and systems design to ensure it aligns with user requirements.
    • Provide backlog status updates, issues, roadblocks, resource concerns, etc.
    • Other duties as assigned by management

     

    JOB REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

    • Five (5) plus years of experience working with software developers using agile, or as a product manager in charge of a product backlog
    • Extensive experience working with quality data, quality measures, and quality reporting
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills
    • Excellent knowledge and experience in generating process documentation. Ability to work with minimum to no supervision
    • Travel as needed

     

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:

    • An undergraduate degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education
    • Two (2) years of professional work experience required, preferably in healthcare
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
    • Working knowledge of HRIS/payroll system
    • Knowledge of Windows, Power Point, Word and Excel or similar programs required
