We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Financial Analyst within the Finance Department. This role will deliver Financial Analysis for our Central Texas platform that is focused on providing value added analytics on business performance


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to):

    • Prepares financial analyses, including trending analysis, productivity metrics, revenue cycle analysis, and other ad hoc projects, as well as financial reports and presentations
    • Aggregate, analyze, and publish performance and financial data by division
    • Assist in Physician Compensation tracking and reconciliation
    • Assist with monthly revenue entry in conjunction with RCM & Accounting team
    • Prepare various monthly managerial financial, operational reporting and ad hoc reporting including performance analysis by facility, provider and service line
    • Analyze Monthly Operating Report (MOR) as it relates to revenue, payer trends, headcount and expenses. Prepare monthly MD&A (Management, Discussion and Analysis) write- up
    • Assist in preparing the Clinical Governance Board and other committee meeting presentations
    • Act as liaison for the various information data sources and troubleshoot program logic in a well-organized and systematic manner
    • Assist in the preparation and analysis of the annual budget and on-going forecasting
    • Assist in the preparation of a presentation of the results and the analysis of those results
    • Proactively analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement / best practice

    JOB REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

    • Strong proficiency in business analytics, with demonstrated ability to draw conclusions from the data and “put brains to the numbers”
    • Strong ability to understand and analyze user requirements as they relate to organizational goals and objectives
    • Proficiency in financial reporting and PowerPoint for preparing financial packages and presentations
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or other reporting applications, Access, etc.) – i.e., lookups, Pivot Tables, nested logic functions, etc.
    • Knowledge of general ledger software reporting
    • Knowledge of database software reporting
    • Superior written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to work effectively and independently with staff, physicians and external customers
    • Strong work ethic and ability to work autonomously in a high production environment


    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related area required, master’s preferred.
    • Three years of analytical experience with a master’s degree or 5-7 years of analytical experience with a bachelor’s degree required. 
    • Three to five years healthcare experience preferred.
    • Proficient PC skills, specifically in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access are required.
    • Two years of experience with SQL and VBA programming preferred.


    • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching
    • Must possess sufficient eye-hand coordination/manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment
    • Required normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports and evaluations. 
    • Requires lifting papers and boxes weighing up to 35 pounds occasionally
    • Requires dexterity to type at least 35 wpm.
