    POSITION SUMMARY:   Due to our continued growth, we are looking for the full-time assistance of a scheduling lead to coordinate our non-physician anesthetist’s assignments and optimize our scheduling.



    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to):

    • Lead a team in the preparation of daily and monthly assignments for 170+ anesthetists in accordance with guidelines and directives issued by the Board of Directors and Scheduling Committee
    • Assist with the optimization of staffing models based on data analytics and anticipated changes in clinical needs
    • Maintain accurate updated versions of existing documents that are used for tracking anesthetist preferences, work roles, and facility privileges
    • Create various staffing reports to aid in the efficient use of our anesthetists
    • Initiate process improvements of our scheduling application (Open Tempo)
    • Must be able to understand existing policies, implement them fairly and explain policies to interested parties in collegial manner 
    • Train all new scheduling employees as assigned by the Director of Clinician Scheduling
    • Review of timecards and weekly wages for 170+ anesthetists
    • Other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by management

    JOB REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

    • Ability to organize, maintain, and present data
    • Ability to work effectively and independently with staff, physicians, and external customers.
    • Must have a pleasant disposition and high tolerance level to handle high stress situations
    • Ability to work independently and with others to coordinate workflow
    • Excellent telephone etiquette
    • Skill in computer applications including MS Word and MS Excel and basic office equipment
    • Communicate well with the public
    • Ability to read, write, and speak English
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including spelling
    • Knowledgeable of basic medical terminology
    • A minimum of 35-50 wpm keyboarding skill or the ability to attain such



    • Ability to lead and train new employees
    • Associates or Bachelors degree in a business or health related field is preferred
    • Strong problem-solving abilities
    • Strong communication skills
    • Strong attention to detail and highly organized
    • Strong team coaching and development skills
    • Critical thinking and analytic skills
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft office applications, especially Excel
    • Must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work shifts varying daily from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, although rare to stay past 5:00 pm
