    The Senior Director, Financial Planning & Analysis helps direct all budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analyzing done by the Corporate Finance department. The output of these activities supports executive management and investor decision-making and helps improve employee satisfaction and productivity. The Senior Director also acts as a liaison with IT, Revenue Cycle Management, Accounting and other stakeholders heavily involved in reporting and analytics. Finally, the Senior Director supports the Vice President, Corporate Finance in designing and implementing the organization’s strategy for analytics and reporting.

    Responsibilities

    1. Oversee development of forecasts
      • Annual budget
      • Long-range plans
    2. Respond to ad hoc requests for information from executive management and investors
    3. Design and develop new tools and reports to share information with all levels of business and clinical organization
    4. Manage projects
    5. Drive process improvement
    6. Help maintain information on USAP’s internal and external strategic environment
    7. Provide primary FP&A support for corporate departments
    8. Represent Vice President, Corporate Finance when they are not present

    Qualifications

    • Education
      • Bachelor’s Degree
      • Master’s in business administration (or equivalent degree) from a top tier school preferred
    • Skills and Abilities
      • Data analysis
      • Report design and development
      • Familiarity with standard accounting procedures (e.g. month close, GAAP financial statements)
      • Project management
      • Willingness to “roll up sleeves” and personally deliver work product when needed
      • Desire and ability to work independently to drive initiatives
      • Creative problem solving
      • Ability to lead others towards a goal, especially without formal authority
      • Ability to understand strategic context of activities and decisions
    • Experience
      • Five years of experience in data analysis and / or reporting (may be concurrent with other types of experience)
