This position combines the duties of entering demographic data into our Groupcast system and verifying insurance information.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Primary person in charge of all medical & legal records requests. This includes subpoenas & affidavits.
  • Process all legal & medical records requests
  • Create new accounts in Groupcast and enter demographic information & verify accounts in Medaxion
  • Verify insurance information using the Groupcast system
  • Speed, accuracy and attention to detail extremely important
  • The ability to adapt to constant changes

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong keyboarding skills – fast and accurate 50 WPM with 97% accuracy
  • Ability to read and write English in a legible and professional manner
  • Ability to communicate respectfully and professionally
  • Protect the confidentiality of highly sensitive information
  • Must be mature, patient, and able to appropriately handle difficult situations
  • Must have a cheerful, pleasant disposition and enthusiasm for the position
  • Adhere to policies and guidelines in Personnel Policy Manual as amended from time to time
  • Must have excellent data entry skills and an above average attention to detail
  • Must be able to work independently. Must be reliable and a self-starter.
  • Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position

Qualifications

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

    • High school diploma. College degree is not required, but some college is preferred.
    • Minimum of 3 years in the medical field.
    • Medical terminology is preferred.
    • Must have experience in data entry.

  • Strong data entry skills, both alpha and numberic (10-key by touch)
