This position combines the administrative duties of running a hospital-based anesthesia office along with charge ticket processing. Deals with everything from data entry details to creating pecking order, weekend schedules and patient special request cases.



Administrative support to include, but not limited to:

  • Handle phone calls: surgeon’s office, patients, drug/equipment reps, anesthesiologists, hospital staff, etc
  • Maintain and update the schedule, OOD schedule coordination for both North & South Zones
  • Creates pecking order & weekend call schedule/tracking trades or swaps
  • Liaison for MD’s with other department setting up meetings
  • Liaison for hospital CAA staff in need of computer access; parking cards, badge access/security
  • Available to assist and answer questions regarding the schedule and assignments
  • Order office supplies & food and maintain office and call rooms. Coordinates catering for meetings
  • Scanning face sheets
  • Work within the hospital computer system to retrieve patients’ demographic and medical information
  • Collection of schedules of surgery centers/creates schematic for outside centers
  • Works closely with Chief CRNA in coordination to schedule
  • Verifies tic sheet count/Medaxion/schedule #
  • Processes Pain

Business office support to include, but not limited to:

  • Other tasks and support as needed
  • Think creatively - Propose new ideas and find new and better ways of doing things



  • Ability to read and write English in a legible and professional manner
  • Experience with Excel spreadsheets (including formulas) and Word
  • Ability to communicate tactfully and professionally with the public and the professional staff at all the facilities where we do business
  • Protect the confidentiality of highly sensitive information
  • Maturity, patience, and ability to appropriately handle difficult situations
  • A cheerful, pleasant disposition and enthusiasm for the position
  • Must adhere to policies and guidelines in Personnel Policy Manual as amended from time to time
  • Excellent data skills and an above average attention to detail
  • Must be able to work independently. This position is without an on-site supervisor. Must be reliable and a self-starter.
  • Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously in a high paced environment is standard. Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
  • Excellent working relationship with the physicians, CRNAs and RNs is expected as is an exceptional attitude and demeanor towards the patients we serve.

  • Required to stay current with continuing educational programs designed to keep employee informed of changes in laws or procedures.


  • High school diploma. College degree is not required, but some college is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the medical field.
  • Medical terminology is required.
