The Process Improvement Director is directly responsible for the planning, organizing, and execution of process improvement initiatives across the network of US Anesthesia Partners physician practices, while supporting the operational and financial goals and objectives of the Company and maintaining the highest ethical standards. This position would be based in Dallas, TX; relocation taken into consideration.



  • Collaborate with business teams to review processes and identify/implement opportunities for improvements, applying lean concepts and tools
  • Promote the continuous improvement culture and reengineering at the grass roots level. Establish and lead internal project teams in the identification, design and delivery of process improvement initiatives
  • Facilitate business process redesign workshops (Kaizen) with business teams.
    • Ensures successful kaizen events by installing and ensuring compliance to the kaizen process which includes; (1) planning of kaizens with a dynamic funnel process tied to Daily Management, (2) execution, (3) sustainment, and (4) continuous improvement
  • Identify customer needs, conduct current state assessments, create process maps and flows, identify waste and opportunities for improvement, and develop future state designs
  • Apply lean thinking concepts and principles and propose/analyze alternative solutions to streamline processes and enhance control.
  • Manage project execution and timelines, coordinate team members, report progress and manage expectations, risks and issues.       Track and report process improvement savings and benefits and prepare/present progress and accomplishments to senior management
  • Train employees on lean concepts, tools and techniques
  • Advises senior leadership on key areas of opportunity and investment for process improvement
  • other duties, as assigned



  • Bachelor’s degree a requirement, MBA or applied science background preferred
  • Proven Lean process improvement experience in a service environment required
  • Proven track record in evaluating current processes and reengineering processes, in order to create significant improvement and enhance controls
  • Highly proficient in use of desktop tools and software for presentations, consolidation of data and process mapping, i.e. MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio and MS Access
  • Previous lean consulting experience and/or project management experience strongly preferred
  • Lean and project management certification an asset but not a requirement
  • Revenue cycle management experience an asset but not a requirement
