The purpose of this role is to support key functions for the USAP of Texas Pain division. This position works closely with the USAP Vice President of Operations of Pain to carry out key operational needs and also in the development of divisional strategic initiatives. The multidisciplinary position will yield great experience as it interfaces with all departments with in the company. (Finance, Human Resources, Revenue Cycle Management, Coding, Compliance, IT, Recruiting, Legal.) It will provide the unique opportunity to develop innovative business solutions that drive growth and performance of the division


Operational Needs:

  • Performance Reporting: Work with VP of Operations, Pain Doctor Administration and finance leads to insure quality of reporting on performance, compensation and growth to be utilized in monthly reporting for all Texas markets.
  • Recruiting: Work with clinical directors and VP Operations and clinical recruiting to fill positions in all Texas markets. Includes initial screening of candidates, coordination of interviews with other clinical providers and operations team, final selection, contract development and job offers,
  • Contracting and Credentialing: Developing provider contracts as well as helping negotiate the terms and conditions of contracts. Once contract is approved, serve as a liaison between the credentialing team and the providers.
  • Orientation and Training: Working with USAP HR to onboard and train new providers that join the pain division. Present at Orientation on pain division plan and coordinate the implementation of groups that we roll into the pain model.
  • PTO Tracking and Payroll Accuracy: Serve as the time clock supervisor for the pain division. This includes working with Pain Doctor Administration to keep track of PTO hours used, making sure the Exponent system is accurate and ensuring that paychecks are accurate.
  • Bonus and Expense Tracking: Working with Pain Doctor Administration to collect bonus and expense paperwork and then make sure providers are compensated appropriately.
  • Annual Budgeting: Assisting VP of Operations in the creation of annual budgets for each market and making sure that each market stays within their allocated budget for the year.

  • Special Projects: Work with the VP of Pain Operations to complete any special projects or request that come from Providers, Pain Doctor Leadership or USAP corporate.

Strategy Support and Development

  • Account ManagementDevelop supporting and customer focused relationships with providers across the state. Track performance of pain model and report findings for the further development of key strategies to drive growth and operational excellence. Office site visits with Texas providers, operations teams and internal stakeholders. (Houston, Austin, Dallas and San Antonio)
  • Business Development - Support merger /acquisition transition planning of key practices as a part of inorganic / organic growth strategies. Due diligence on all key practice parameters related to new practice development  
  • Coordination of meetings, people and reporting for monthly performance reporting by platform.
  • Support, research and development of key ancillary service lines (toxicity laboratories, durable medical equipment, pharmacy, and behavioral medicine)
  • Identification of innovative business solutions needed and special project development.

  • 2-3 years healthcare or related technical sales or customer service experience
  • Key account management experience
  • MBA preferred
  • Basic Medical and healthcare market knowledge
