The Clinical HR business partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning clinical business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The HRBP serves as a consultant to management on human resources-related issues. The successful HRBP will act as an employee champion and change agent. The HRBP assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. Communicating needs proactively with our HR department and business management, the HRBP seeks to develop integrated solutions. The HRBP formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to partners, management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business acumen about the business unit’s financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition. This position will require travel within the DFW area to clinical sites.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively balance business partner responsibility with employee advocacy building positive employee relations and work environment.
  • Facilitate fair and equitable implementation of compensation philosophy and ranges including coaching managers and administering clinical pay changes with shared service team.
  • Partner with the business to lead the annual review process with a focus on performance management and talent development.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the clinical divisions and committees to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Partners with clinical divisions and committees to resolve complex employee relations issues providing HR guidance along with conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and enhancing regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, corrective actions) with committee’s guidance.
  • Participates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific business goals and provides policy guidance.
  • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Identifies training needs for all clinical divisions to include individual coaching needs. Facilitates management and leadership training programs.
  • Partners with payroll to ensure employee pay and status changes are processed appropriately.
  • Partners with clinical division management to process updated compensation agreements and employment status changes.
  • Partners with the benefits team to assist employees with benefit related questions including all group health benefits, FML and disability.
  • Contributor to the onboarding of new acquisitions.
  • Administers the onboarding process for all clinical new hires to include processing background and drug screens, new hire paperwork, new hire orientations and working with the shared service team to input data into HRIS system.
  • Travel up to 50% within the DFW area.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:

 

  •  Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP certifications preferred
  • 7+ years of exempt level HR experience preferred
  • Experience in health care working with clinical staff required
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
