The Clinical HR business partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated clinical business units. The HRBP serves as a consultant to management on human resources-related issues. The successful HRBP will act as an employee champion and change agent. The HRBP assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. Communicating needs proactively with our HR department and business management, the HRBP seeks to develop integrated solutions. The HRBP formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to partners, management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business acumen about the business unit’s financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.


  • Effectively balance business partner responsibility with employee advocacy building positive employee relations and work environment.
  • Facilitate fair and equitable implementation of compensation philosophy and ranges including coaching managers.
  • Partner with the business to lead the annual review processes with a focus on performance management and talent development.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the client group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues providing HR guidance. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and enhancing regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, corrective actions).
  • Participates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goals. Provides policy guidance
  • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Identifies training needs for business units and individual coaching needs. Facilitates management and leadership training programs.
  • Key contributor to the onboarding of acquisitions.
  • Will be partnering/supporting on average 1000 clinical employees to include physicians, CRNA’s, senior leadership and internal support teams.


JOB REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

  • Broad HR experience and specific knowledge of human resources including employee relations, compensation, performance management, training and development. .

  • Establish credibility with intellectually demanding audiences.


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent degree
  • SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP certifications preferred
  • 7+ years of exempt level HR experience preferred, ideally in health care delivery industry
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
