The Contract Management Specialist is responsible for critical contract lifecycle management for a variety of contract types, including confidentiality agreements, business associate agreements, professional anesthesia services agreements, and vendor agreements. This trusted individual will handle highly confidential contracting requests and a high volume of time-sensitive projects. This is an onsite role based at our Dallas, TX office.

Job Highlights

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages a high volume of contracting requests from initiation to execution, in accordance with company policies and procedures, and in collaboration with USAP attorneys.
  • Drafts agreements on approved templates and provides standard proposed revisions for drafts created by external parties.
  • Identifies key potential risks in existing and proposed contracts and escalates to appropriate internal stakeholders for input and resolution.
  • Provides timely and accurate responses to contract-related inquiries from internal stakeholders.
  • Develops and maintains detailed and accurate reports for legal and operations leaders regarding contracting requests and existing contracts.
  • Recommends and implements process improvements for specific contract types.
  • Contributes to periodic contract template updates and maintains library of approved templates.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES (KSAs):

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Business, or other relevant field required.
  • Paralegal certification a plus, with experience serving in a paralegal role preferred.
  • 5+ years prior legal department experience required.
  • Experience successfully managing all aspects of contract drafting, negotiation, and execution.
  • Experience with contract management systems and electronic signature systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex concepts succinctly.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Positive customer-service orientation and consistent professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work well with executives, other internal stakeholders, and external parties.
  • Detail-oriented, with a strong command of grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation rules.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and process enhancements.
